Greetings, J-pop fans!


Ai Kawashima recently came to greet us the day
at Kinokuniya Bookstore
before her big performance at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden for Sakura Matsuri!
We also had a screening of the 8th One Piece movie
"Episode of Alabasta: The Desert Princess and the Pirates",
which Ai sang the ending song "Compass" for and had a brief voice-acting role in it as well.


Samurai Beat Radio had an opportunity to speak to Ai regarding her music,
love of One Piece, life experiences like how she started out on the streets of Tokyo,
and her charity work (She opened up 3 schools in Asia & Africa!).
Some of the fans got a chance to do Q&A with Ai!
